May 2020
During this time of physical distancing - I like physical instead of social because there are many ways that we can be social with each other - some of the ladies that I stamp with made card packages. They made one card and then gave us a card will all of the pieces to make our own. They dropped them off in our mailboxes. I don't have a car so I owe them one when we get together again!
I should mention that only one uses Stampin' Up products. I gave Mary some So Very Vellum from Sale-A-Bration and along with her own vellum she made this card.
The card front is 5" X 6 1/2". I tried to change it up using an A2 size card but I couldn't come up with anything as perfect as her's.
Her 2nd card uses kraft card stock which she likes using a lot.
This is my card. I didn't use the kraft card circle layer and I put the white circle under the blue.
I love the sentiment that she used on this card.
This is Barb's card. She added a note that she embossed the card front before stamping. She said that she her my voice in her head saying to stamp first afterwards - lol. I love Barb's cards but my hello die cut was red and for me I didn't like it on the card. I will keep all of the flowers and butterfly and the hello and use them on another card.
Last but definitely not least is Susan's card. I love it. It is so cute.
The only difference with the card that I made is the way that I put the die cuts together. I used them for a shadow effect so that they would stand out a bit more.
This was so much fun. There are many ways to "get together" during this time. I have seen more demonstrators doing Facebooks live and some having stamping workshops or get-togethers on Zoom.
Whatever you choose to do, remember to keep in touch with your card making or scrapbooking friends. It is my experience that crafters are wonderful people and that the community is strong and caring.
Stay safe and happy crafting,
Mary
