ABOUT ME

Hi and thanks for stopping by.

                 My name is Mary DeKoning
                 and I live in
                 Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

I have three very supportive adult children. My two sons are spread out across Canada and my daughter moved back in with me in November 2019. I am no longer an empty nester!!

With her, she brought her cat Ginger.

She loves Stampin' Up as well and she is my blogging buddy.

My card making journey started when I wanted to make a scrapbook for each of my kids. I bought a Cricut and I completed two pages. I then saw that you could make cards with it as well. I made a few but realized that I did not want to just cut and paste images. So to Youtube I went and I fell in love with vintage and shabby chic cards. I made cards using many printed paper pads, Tim Holtz paper dolls, silk and paper flowers, various stamps and a lot of items from the dollar store. I could never find card stock to match. I kept buying packs from Michael's. I think that I kept them in business - lol.

It was during a visit to Michael's that I met my now best friend in an aisle. She taught me so much about stamping, different techniques and card making in general. I was now hooked on stamping!!!

One day she took me to a Stampin' Up party. I loved the way that their inks, various papers and embellishments all matched and also the quality of their stamps -- oh, the money I would have saved if I had known about their products at the beginning of my card making!! I was spending a lot of money on Stampin' Up products so I decided to become a demonstrator to get the discount.

I have met many wonderful people through our card group, different parties, workshops and Stampin' Up events. I believe that everyone is creative. I love having card parties and teaching but I also learn from my customers. I never want to stop learning.

I would like to help you whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro! You can shop with me, join my team as a demonstrator or just ask me questions.

I would love to hear from you,

Mary
