Painted Peaceful Poppies

Good morning

I hope that all of you are well. It's interesting that until being able to go out is taken away from you, you don't know how much you appreciate the freedom.

My card today uses the Peaceful Poppies DSP and the Peaceful Poppies Elements. I love the DSP however some of it is very busy. I decided to tone it done with the black elements while still showing the beauty of the paper.

I used Poppy Parade card stock that measured 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" folded at 4 1/4".
The layer of black card stock is 5 3/8" X  4 1/8".
The DSP is 5 1/4" X 4". When I was cutting the patterned paper I was cognizant of the pattern. I didn't want it to be all red flowers.
I adhered these to the card front. As you know, I love tear and tape however you can use whatever adhesive is your favourite.
For the inside I used white card stock cut at 5 1/4" X 4". I stamped the single poppy and bud from the Painted Poppies stamp set in the bottom left corner. I then coloured it in using the Stampin' Blends Markers (light Poppy Parade and light Old Olive). I didn't stamp a sentiment as I don't know what I want to use the card for yet. I may perhaps just leave it as a note card. I then adhered the card stock to the inside of the card.

I have been wanting to try out some of the Peaceful Poppies Elements for some time. It is a neat part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite and it is only $8.75(Can). It has printed vellum, printed black elements, coloured pop-outs and also cut water colour paper for you to colour as you like.
I used two of the printed black elements and a pop out poppy. On the label I used my embossing buddy and then Versamark and then white embossing powder and heat set it.
I wanted the label to show on both end and I wanted to use the circle so I had to use a small sentiment to make sure that it fit. I adhered all of the elements together and then added some red pearls.

I am going to play around with some of the other elements. There is a card in the catalogue that I think I am going to case. The catalogue is a great place to get ideas.

Finally, I would like to say, that I hope you and your families are healthy and stay healthy during this time. If you have an elderly neighbour or a family with kids by you, check in with them. If they need anything and you can go out, offer to get items for them. Wash your hands! Together we can get through this!!!
