I can't believe that I forgot to include these two cards on my last post!
I suppose that you could call this card vintage in that it uses an image of Father Christmas. The ladies in card group that I am in all make one or two cards and bring the supplies so that we all can make one. So thanks to Susan I made this card. I love this card as I love all vintage cards. I haven't had time to pull out my Tim Holtz winter paper dolls yet and play but I will! This is an easy card. Father Christmas was a cut out with some black card stock pieces in the corners to make him the center of attention. I just added some washi tape and a sentiment and done. Actually, I stamped the sentiment first like we all should do just in case we mess it up - lol :) I have become very dependent on my Stamparatus to get things straight and the ink even. Whatever did I do without it? One of the best investments I ever made! If you don't have a Stamparatus, you should definitely put it on your Christmas wish list!!!!!
This next card is a shaker card using stamps and dies from a British magazine that I bought called "Simply Cards & papercraft". Stampin' Up has a similar truck die in the Truck Ride Die set and I am pretty sure that everyone has a tree stamp that they can fussy cut or a tree die. In the picture the truck shows up a but darker that in person. If I were to make this card again, I would sponge the edges with a light brown instead of trying to match the rust colour of the houses. Live and learn! I also used some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. It is really fun to use. TIP: Always remember to shake it before you use it even if it has only been 5 minutes. Also it is like liquid so you don't have to squeeze the bottle hard to get it out unless you want a big blob. If you want a big blob just remember that it will be harder to heat emboss it and it will puff up big! What you want to do is tip the bottle over and let the fluid come out. Spread an even about on the space that you want it.
I hope you have a great day and happy crafting :)
